Time flies when you're having fun
Why does no one ever tell you that the same applies to things that aren't fun?
Breezy dog days turn into abrupt blurs
School takes its toll
Looking forward to the next holiday keeps students going
Just one more week till Halloween
One more week till Thanksgiving
Another test and then it's over
One more day
It's winter break
Can it even be called a break if we spent the whole time doing work and studying
for the next round of tests the second we come back?
Break ends, we're back on the grind
Students find themselves falling back into the hypnotic rhythm
A vicious cycle of work and taking life one day a time
Can't miss a class, can't miss that lecture
Can't go on a field trip without having a month of makeup work
Days go by, work piles up.
Before you know it, you have five tests in a four day week.
It steams my rice
How can we be tested on something we didn't learn?
As the marking period goes by, every day becomes a haze of worksheets and scantrons
Easter rolls right by our eyes as we get swamped in practice problems for AP testing
Regurgitate information,
know the formulas
The best way out is always through
Clearly, Robert Frost didn't go to our school
Head on through the work
Through the struggle,
the anxiety,
the pressure.
Finals week
School comes to a close
It's back to being summer
I never knew time could fly so fast
