The Beauty of Autumn

The Beauty of Autumn
 By: Lizzi Botta

The smell of apple cider in the air,

warm pumpkin pie being made in the kitchen,

the leaves slowly falling off the trees,

the crunch of the leaves beneath your feet,

the assortment of colors are displayed in the leaves,

you know it is fall when you see all these things.

The branches of the trees are bare,

all the leaves lay flat on the ground,

children jumping into leaf piles, scattering them all around,

the smell of fresh air, your skin tingles with joy,

you know it is fall when you see all these things.

Pumpkins are beginning to sprout,

the spirit of Halloween is in the air,

apples are falling from the trees,

and before you know it,

everything will be covered in a blanket of snow,

you know it is fall when you see all these things.
