The government is useless, don't @ me by: Noah Fischer

So we've all collectively decided to forget that Flint, Michigan still has lead in their water, including the federal government. Because we don't care about Flint anymore, and kids are still potentially getting lead poisoning, Jaden Smith has taken it upon himself to try and help the situation because our government has neglected to fix their pipes (with the money we're trying to get for the wall we could fix Flint's pipes 90 times over).

The Flint water crisis began in 2014, when there was corrosion to the water lines, causing lead to get into the suply (and continue to do so). Now, it is still a major crisis but since the levels have dropped below federally mandated levels, the state is no longer giving out clean water bottles and the government has stopped caring because, well, it's not their problem any more. So the residents of Flint can continue to get lead poisoning and the gov. no longer has to worry about it (basically just a giant f you to Flint, Michigan)

The cost to fix the water pipes would be around 55 million dollars which, as I've previously mentioned, the projected 5 billion going to the wall could fix 90 times. And since that's not happening, Jaden Smith is deciding to step in and help. The Smith family owns a company called JUST water which produces water bottles with clean water. They've decided to donate a "water box" which is a smaller version of the company's water purification device. The water box can supply 10 gallons of clean water per minute, which is a huge help to the residents of Flint, who can now all use the device to fill up their own water recepticles. Currently only one has been donated, but Jaden Smith has plegded to donate more. (also the company has given over 9200 bottles of clean water to Flint already).

It's great and all that celebrities are using their money for good things like this, but maybe, even though it's technically not their problem anymore, the government might want to, I don't know, care about it's citizens. And I think Will Smith can be forgiven for his horrendus performance in rewind because this is his company doing this.
