Anti-vaccination Bills by Lily Loewen

On March 6th, 2019, a surprising bill got passed called the Anti-vaccination bill. I found out this and was shocked by the news. What the bill does is expand reasons for parents to not allow their children to be vaccinated and forces doctors to give more information on vaccinations before they vaccinate their patients. I understand that doctors should provide information on vaccinations, but the fact that the government is even passing anything that is against vaccinations is insane. If having an outbreak of previously eliminated diseases isn't enough to prove that vaccinations are necessary, then what about pure fact?
It has been proved by scientists everywhere that vaccinations are needed and the people that say that they are bad are flawed. There are vaccinations for measles, mumps, and whooping cough, which can all lead to death if not treated and if children are not vaccinated for them. Not only is having your own child not vaccinated a threat to the child, it is a huge threat to everyone around them. Measles, mumps, and whooping cough were all illnesses that were controlled with vaccinations, but all of a sudden they're not anymore because of the people that are oblivious to the facts about health and science.
The anti-vaccination bill was a step away from showing people how necessary vaccinations are for children, and is low-key saying to the anti-vaccinators that what they are doing is alright, when it is far from okay.
