My Family and I By: Lauren Matus

There are many things that are important to me from school to extracurricular activities, but the most important thing is my family. My family is always there for me no matter what, and supports me in everything I do. We have the best times together whether it’s watching a funny movie together or going down to the beach during the summer. My brothers and I have developed a relationship over the years that is stronger than anything I’ve ever experienced. I don’t know how many siblings can say that about their younger brothers, especially at my age. It hasn’t always been like this; I remember the days where we used to fight over who got the front seat in the car. I remember when my brothers and I used to play school; where I would pretend to be the teacher and they would be the students. I would teach them new things, and I thought it was the coolest thing. Now, I can help them with their homework or just talk about how their day went. We’ve all matured from there and have only grown closer.
My parents and I have also grown closer throughout the years. They are the two people who I can go to for anything and will listen and give me advice. They are there through all the laughs and smiles, tears, and everything in between. They continue to inspire me everyday to be the best version of myself!
I’m so grateful to have such an amazing family by my side.
