Family by Lily Loewen

When people are asked what is important to them, one of the very popular answers is family. I'm one of those people and my family is by far the most important thing to me. I'm an only child, but I still have a huge family. My dad is one of six kids and they all have kids and live nearby, so my cousins are basically my siblings. I grew up with my cousins, as most of them are close to my age and I see them all the time. Also, ever since we were babies we go to Wildwood every single summer in July. Without my parents, cousins, aunts, and uncles, my life would be so boring and different. A lot of my favorite memories are with my family and I would not be the person I am without them. I never get tired of my cousins, and every time I see them I get a rush of excitement and happiness. I see my entire family every holiday, and all family gatherings mean everything to me. Getting to sit around the dinner table at night being able to laugh and talk freely with my best friends is what I look forward to all the time. I wouldn't trade my family for anything as I am the person I am because of them, and they shaped my personality and who I am. So, if I ever have to think about what is important to me, my family is the first to come to mind.
